En 2023, ce travail a notamment consist\u00e9 \u00e0 faire en sorte que nous disposions de l\u2019expertise et des ressources technologiques n\u00e9cessaires pour pr\u00e9parer la s\u00e9lection d\u2019un site en 2024 et entreprendre le processus de d\u00e9cision r\u00e9glementaire par la suite. Dans cette optique, nous avons lanc\u00e9 plusieurs initiatives de transformation en 2023. Ces initiatives assurent que notre organisation et notre personnel soient pr\u00eats \u00e0 entreprendre la mise en oeuvre des prochaines phases du plan canadien pour le combustible nucl\u00e9aire irradi\u00e9, tout en poursuivant l\u2019\u00e9laboration du plan de s\u00e9lection d\u2019un site pour les d\u00e9chets de moyenne activit\u00e9 et les d\u00e9chets de haute activit\u00e9 autres que le combustible.<\/p>\n<p>Les activit\u00e9s en cours renforceront les activit\u00e9s d\u2019ing\u00e9nierie, de planification de la construction et de prise de d\u00e9cision r\u00e9glementaire au cours de la prochaine d\u00e9cennie. Ces initiatives couvrent plusieurs aspects du travail de la SGDN, tels que les technologies de l\u2019information et les technologies num\u00e9riques, la culture organisationnelle, les contr\u00f4les financiers et l\u2019acc\u00e8s au financement, la gestion des projets, ainsi que l\u2019ing\u00e9nierie et la conception.<\/p>\n<p>Certaines activit\u00e9s sont con\u00e7ues pour r\u00e9pondre aux besoins et aux risques propres aux futures phases du projet, comme l\u2019am\u00e9lioration des processus pour rendre notre syst\u00e8me d\u2019approvisionnement plus efficace et la mise en oeuvre d\u2019un nouvel outil de gestion des co\u00fbts qui soutient nos efforts plus larges de pr\u00e9paration \u00e0 la prise de d\u00e9cision r\u00e9glementaire. Lorsque le projet deviendra une r\u00e9alit\u00e9 plus tangible dans l\u2019une des deux r\u00e9gions h\u00f4tes potentielles, nous serons pr\u00eats.<\/p>\n<p>Nous avons continu\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00e9laborer des plans pour d\u00e9m\u00e9nager progressivement une grande partie de notre personnel et de nos activit\u00e9s vers le site du d\u00e9p\u00f4t. Cette mobilisation repr\u00e9sente un d\u00e9fi d\u2019envergure et une planification est d\u00e9j\u00e0 en cours depuis plusieurs ann\u00e9es pour former un effectif qualifi\u00e9, comp\u00e9tent et dispos\u00e9 \u00e0 travailler dans la r\u00e9gion qui sera choisie pour accueillir le d\u00e9p\u00f4t. Dans le cadre de notre plan de transition vers le site, nous nous efforcerons \u00e9galement de maximiser les possibilit\u00e9s d\u2019emploi dans la collectivit\u00e9 h\u00f4te et la r\u00e9gion environnante, y compris dans les collectivit\u00e9s des Premi\u00e8res Nations et m\u00e9tisses, et d\u2019investir dans la formation et l\u2019\u00e9ducation.<\/p>\n<p>Une autre \u00e9tape importante a \u00e9t\u00e9 la publication d\u2019une demande de qualification des fournisseurs, qui a donn\u00e9 le coup d\u2019envoi du processus d\u2019approvisionnement pluriannuel qui aboutira \u00e0 la s\u00e9lection des fournisseurs qui travailleront avec nous \u00e0 la mise en oeuvre du plan canadien pour le combustible nucl\u00e9aire irradi\u00e9.
